Pavel Chernyshov

Mr. Chernyshov, together with his two partners, founded Arkview Capital in 2020.  

Prior to founding Arkview, Mr. Chernyshov was a Managing Director at ZBI. Most recently, Mr. Chernyshov was a member of the Investment Committee at ZBI with broad responsibilities over the investment portfolio, as well as oversight of portfolio operations and reporting functions. Since joining ZBI in 2009, Mr. Chernyshov had various roles across different groups at ZBI, including Investment Strategy, Private Markets, Ventures, and most recently the overall Investment Group. His responsibilities included identifying, analyzing and executing private investment opportunities across various market sectors and industries, as well as monitoring existing portfolio companies.   

Prior to ZBI, Mr. Chernyshov worked at a private equity fund, Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co. (“KKR”), focusing on the technology and retail sectors. At KKR, he was involved with the investments in U.S. Foodservice, MMI, Eastman Kodak, and Sun Microsystems.  

Prior to joining KKR in 2006, Mr. Chernyshov worked in the Investment Banking Division at Morgan Stanley. He was a member of the Industrials Group and Enterprise Risk Management Group, where he was involved in a number of acquisitions, restructurings, and financing transactions across various industry segments.  

Mr. Chernyshov holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Economics from Amherst College. He was an Osathanugrah Scholar and awarded the James R. Nelson Prize in Economics.  

Mr. Chernyshov lives in Westport, Connecticut with his wife and two children. He is involved in various philanthropic initiatives in his community. Mr. Chernyshov is a member of the Board of Trustees of Fairfield Country Day School in Fairfield, CT. He also serves on the Amherst Fund Committee and Trustee Nominating Committee for Amherst College in Amherst, MA.
