Vijay Mehta
Mr. Mehta, together with his two partners, founded Arkview Capital in 2020.
Prior to founding Arkview, Mr. Mehta was a Managing Director at ZBI. Most recently, Mr. Mehta was a member of the Investment Committee at ZBI with broad responsibilities over the investment portfolio, as well as portfolio construction and risk management functions. Since 2010, Mr. Mehta had various roles across several groups at ZBI, including Investment Strategy, Private Markets, Risk, and most recently the overall Investment Group.
Prior to joining ZBI in 2010, Mr. Mehta worked at a private equity fund, Texas Pacific Group (“TPG”), focusing on the energy and industrial sectors. At TPG, he was involved with the investments in TXU and the merger of Altivity with Graphic Packaging.
Prior to joining TPG in 2006, Mr. Mehta worked in the Investment Banking Division at Morgan Stanley. He was a member of the Financial Sponsors Group, where he was involved in a number of LBOs and financing transactions.
Mr. Mehta graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania’s Huntsman Program in International Studies & Business, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies. He was named a Joseph Wharton Scholar and Benjamin Franklin Scholar. Mr. Mehta also earned an MBA from the Harvard Business School, where he was named a Baker Scholar and received the Loeb prize in the Finance Department.
Mr. Mehta lives in Short Hills, New Jersey with his wife and three children. He enjoys following Philadelphia sports (Eagles, 76ers) and all things Larry David (Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm).
