Joset Wright-Lacy, J.D., C.P.C.

Joset Wright-Lacy, J.D., C.P.C. is the founder and CEO of Waypoint Strategies, LLC., an executive coaching and consulting firm focused on leveraging leadership to drive business success. Ms. Wright-Lacy has over thirty years’ experience leading highly successful teams in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Her experience includes litigation/legal, procurement and real estate operations, and shared services. She served in the C-suite or at the CEO level, including president of Ameritech Illinois for over twenty-five years before establishing her firm in 2017. Her career path and instinct for developing talent have provided keen insights into the importance of leadership and authenticity in achieving business success and personal peace of mind. In fact, she believes that her success as a woman of color is a result of her commitment to be authentic, even when it was difficult.

Throughout her career Wright-Lacy has been a staunch advocate for small, minority and women owned businesses. As a former procurement executive and past president of the National Minority Supplier Development Council she was instrumental in driving opportunities between some of the country’s largest corporations and minority and women owned firms. 

Ms. Wright-Lacy earned her B.A. from Denison University in Granville, Ohio and her Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. She received her coaching certification from the Center for Coaching Certification. She is married and the mother of two adult sons.
